Description
This is the perfect sewing course for you if you are a complete beginner wishing to have a thorough introduction to using a sewing machine, learning different sewing techniques, understanding basic sewing patterns and learning basic cutting skills.
What level/qualification is this course?
This course does not lead to a qualification.
How will I be taught? How will learning be assessed?
It will be a mixture of tutor demonstration, discussion, experimentation, seeing how others have completed similar tasks and lots of learning from each other. The tutor will give you feedback and encouragement throughout each session.
Will I need to do any work at home?
No, but you may wish to practice and build on what you have learnt.
What do I need to bring with me?
Nothing. Your tutor will provide all equipment you need.
Are there any other costs after enrolment?
No, however you may wish to purchase your own equipment if you wish to continue after the course finishes.
What can I expect to achieve by the end of this course?
You should feel confident to practice and grow your new skills.

You can go on to do further learning on one of our intermediate level courses.
