Description
This course is aimed at learners wishing to develop an understanding of basic photographic processes and will also allow learners to develop their understanding and skills in manipulating their images.
What Qualification/Level is this course?
An accredited City and Guilds Level 1 photographic course which would suit the keen enthusiast who wishes to gain a better understanding of camera modes, composition and lighting techniques.
Who is this course for?
This is ideal opportunity for those who would like to get off of the "automatic" setting and have more control and a better understanding of photography.
What can I expect to learn?
You will be developing your knowledge and learning to control all the basic camera modes, understanding compositional techniques, lighting styles and an introduction to Photoshop
How will I learn?
Teaching methods will include; - explanation, demonstration, group/individual discussions/critiques together with the completion of the individual group projects and practical tasks.
How will I know how well I am doing?
Your tutor will regularly discuss your progress with you. You will also be encouraged to record your comments and review your learning throughout the course.
Will I need to do extra work at home?
Homework is set to enable you to further develop your skills in this subject.
What will I need to provide?
Camera (SLR or Bridge style with switchable camera modes), tripod. A basic "point & shoot" camera will not be suitable for this course.
Are there any other costs?
You will be submitting an end of course portfolio, so there will be photographic printing costs which will be agreed with your tutor.
