Description
From this course, students will gain an understanding of how different businesses operate across the public and private sector. They will learn how they can effectively contribute in the workplace by working with others, managing their time and behaving professionally. Students will develop skills to help them identify jobs that match their skills and abilities and to apply for jobs using a cv or application form. They will use numbers to perform simple business calculations. They will look at sales and purchases and understand the principles.

How will I be taught? How will learning be assessed?
You will receive face to face tuition but will be required to undertake home learning using text books and web-based programmes as directed by your teacher.
You will be given worksheets to complete in class; opportunities to engage in discussion; and ways to practise your skills when you are at home.
Will I need to do any work at home?
Yes. You will be assigned at least two hours of homework each week: homework may be computer-based or paper-based

You will need to bring a pen, pencil and notebook to each lesson
